The Joys of Soy !

5 Reasons Why Soy Should Be a Part of Your World

In recent years, soy products have struggled to earn their rightful space on supermarket shelves. This miracle bean is the new dairy, the neo-protein; it can be transformed into anything: milk, cheese, ice-cream, nuts, hamburgers, sausages; nowadays you really can't believe it's not butter! What is the reason for this soy explosion? Is soy as fabulous as doctors say or is it the greatest hoax on human health ever invented? Read on and find out why you should make this Zone-friendly food a part of your world. 1. Memory Function. After menopause, it is said that a lot of women experience a decrease in memory due to loss of estrogen. Several clinical trials suggest that soy may support a healthier memory because of the ability of the key soy ingredient, isoflavones, to protect nerve cells from the stress of oxidation. That's not to say that soy only benefits the memory of women ... men have shown to benefit from it as well. 2. Heart Health. The FDA supports health claims about the role of soy in reducing the risk of heart calamities. Soy protein supports diets that are low in saturated fat and unhealthy cholesterol levels.
3. Weight Loss. Soy has been key in contemporary weight loss for men and women. There are many reasons for this. First, it has a low glycemic index, meaning that it won't cause blood sugar levels to rise rapidly. Foods with a high glycemic index cause an over-secretion in insulin, which takes that extra sugar and stores it as fat in the body. Because it helps to balance the insulin, soy protein helps keep you feeling full much longer, quelling the urge for snacking between meals and late at night, a big contributor to weight gain. Also, soy is a low fat source of protein that helps to build lean muscle mass. And did we mention how yummy it is? 4. Fights Free Radicals. The summer sun is going to wreak oxidative havoc on our skin. The presence of unhealthy free radicals in the body, those unstable molecules that attack our cells, result in oxidative damage. For these villains of the body, only antioxidants can save the day. Scientists have found that soy indeed has antioxidant properties and that eating soy can help fight free radicals. The key seems to be the isoflavones present in the soy protein. 5. Provides Energy. Soy supports the body in everything it needs to do throughout the day. Soy protein supports energy levels, stamina, and sports performance. Soy protein is rich in amino acids, which support the body’s muscles and bones. The stronger our muscles and bones are, the more we can withstand the physical demands of our days. Soy protein also helps to support a healthy cardiovascular system, which is critical for an active lifestyle. If you feel that your body is low in energy, drink soy for a boost.

Transfer Factor

After incorporating 4Life Research™ in August of 1997, Founder and CEO David Lisonbee put himself to work with wife and Co-Founder, Bianca. January of '98 marked 4Life's first Transfer Factor sale. In 1999, 4Life released Transfer Factor Plus® and opened for business in Japan. October of 2000 signifies the historic direct sales merger of ShapeRite® and 4Life Research. Then our world changed. 9/11. Within days, the 4Life executive team strategized a plan to support the families of 15 firemen from Engine 54 (New York City Fire Department) and one policeman from New York's 6th precinct.
Since then, 4Life Research has pursued its mission of building people through science, success and service in more than 40 countries around the world. In February of 2001, the Lisonbee's introduced 4Life's global distributor base to Nkosi Johnson, the young South African who played a crucial role in generating international awareness about HIV and AIDS. After Nkosi's death, 4Life Research established the Nkosi Haven 4Life Farm, a facility dedicated to the unique needs of women and children with AIDS. This is a project that 4Life Research is proud to support to this day.
Since 2001, 4Life products have appeared in every publication of the Physician's Desk Reference (PDR). In 2002, 4Life Transfer Factor was featured in the publicly televised American Medical Review (AMR). In October of that year, 4Life opened offices in Singapore, Australia, and organized its European Union. State side, 4Life leaders held their first Academy 4Life (now the LEADER IN YOU series), a practicum dedicated to personal and entrepreneurial development. The following month, Lisonbee issued his Rules of Recommendation, seven practical maxims that target 4Life's commitment to gratitude, dependability, responsibility, accountability, respect, civility, and integrity in all areas of life.
In 2003, Inc. 500 Magazine named 4Life Research the 15th fastest growing privately held company in the United States. In 2004, Steve Tew, former CFO and COO, became President. To date, 4Life's "Patent Philosophy" accounts for two patents and more than twenty 4Life Transfer Factor patents pending. Hundreds of thousands of people around the world recognize 4Life Transfer Factor as the finest immune support product anywhere. Earlier this year, the editor-and-chief of TotalHealth For Longevity placed Lisonbee and 4Life® at the "forefront of immune research for more than 12 years." Recently, 4Life has appeared in local, regional, national and international news, including TotalHealth, First For Women On The Go, The Direct Selling News, The Salt Lake Tribune, Deseret News and Enterprise Business Weekly. In the first week of June, 4Life Research will be featured in a Utah Business Magazine article that focuses on network marketing success.
